Anyone remember Concorde? French supersonic plane, it was a technological breakthrough, put into service, and then canceled. Same with Russian one, it was created in the same time as French, then entered service, worked, and then canceled around same time as French one. 40 years later, we still have low-speed civilian planes, traveling 3x more time than with supersonic one. Why? Do we really don't know how to create new-generation planes (40 years after we actually did), or did corruption do its magic, allowing established corporations to profit on old-tech planes? It was way to loud even unbearable to sit inside and travel... Btw they do have a few new planes. Just look it up on google

They got scrapped because they weren't profitable. If you want the concorde back then feel free to reinvent it to be more profitable. Idk work on the fuel efficiency, the comfort, all the things that contribute to profits.
