A slightly better idea would be to make it so only you can see your own rep. Only you can feel good about getting a rep from someone you respect or enemies you defeated in a brilliant way. Remove the rep part of the player leaderboards and then nobody can compare rep with another person without asking the other person, and even if you have the most rep, nobody cares because they can't see it on your profile. Problem solved.

I'd prefer the solution about removing the rep-system. On the other hand I never cared about it, besides the annoying people which spam for rep, or the ones telling you to fuck off because you ain't got enough rep. But it is only of little interest for me.

Well, i only have 11 reps, but those are ture reps. i earned them with sentences like "i will burito you" when russia sayed he'd nuke me

...so...i think you at least should be forced to lose 100sp for one rep, so you can't rep forever

Why don't we just have an option to minus rep people you don't like, and actually make it so it's possible for negative rep.

I was under the impression you're supposed to rep people that play well and are basically really good. From what I tell alot of people just give reps because they accepted an alliance.

^ This is a far better solution then simply removeing it. This way when someone is repfarming it has the opposite effect so it should cut back on that. Also this would make it easier to identify who is a respectable player and who is a troll or an all around ass hole. Which could be useful for scenarios.

Not at all. I should have around minus 200 reps so far, yet I can do just fine in any scenario or game.

Besides, respectable based on who's standards? The unthinking majority? I wouldn't rely on the majority's way of thinking for s**t.

Lol what? Tunder made a good point, what's the use of it? It gave us some useless threads on OT.

If you take out SP, you take out the prize at the end of a match, you take out the fact that people have dedicated multiple hours to a game to reap massive amounts of it, you take out that feeling of needing to finish the game and you remove the impact a backstab or a gangbang has on people, thus lightening the community as a whole.

Either that or make your victories and losses give you the same amount of SP.

Hmm. Unattachment to the end can radically change the way you play for the better, but then you might not have that drive, sometimes you just want a reward for the work that's been put into it.

Making losses and wins give you 100% of the SP should solve that.
