I already talked about humanity and professionalism of Croatian soldiers in Croatian Independence War, but this video is epic one.

Soldiers from 4th Croatian brigade 'Spiders' found a wounded Serbian soldier and took him to the hospital.
That Serbian soldier is still alive and today he is living a nice family life in city called Bijeljina (Bosnia in Herzegovina)

Yes,saved one soldier but killed others,banishing 250k serbs with nothing.
Saving one of thousands of people isnt justification.

Private Milhais (Portuguese soldier) in WW1 also decimated columns of germans and saved hundreds of french and english to retreat and distracted germans while Americans and English were hitting the germans from the flanks. He is the most condecorated Portuguese soldier of all times and he was saved from drowning in a swamp by a scottish doctor, he was a farmer and you dont see it spread that nationalism on atwar forums lol

Franjo Tudjman changed Croatian constituion where he removed Serbs from it and took away their human and constitutional rights. What full citizenship? What a lie...

He was pushing for war since 1980's while he was in communist party, fanatical communist turned to be fanatical fascist in the 90's. He started the war and led ethnic cleansing of 250,000 civilians.

you and croat, see, what i mean is that tito just like croat was spreading nationalism, if you make one nation look better it will at the same time make other nations especially its opponents look worse. some say that a little patriotism wouldnt affect them, but most wars in recent history were caused by nations bashing eachother, insulting eachother until a war broke out. i'm not saying that nations like the US are comparable to Nazi germany, but patriotism and taking pride in winning a war against some nation in both cases is a major factor. for example the war in afghanistan and the second iraq war were only justifyable because the US citizens saw their national pride hurt after 9/11 (real cause could have been oil, but thats not what the people wanted) and other nations handle terrorism with a lot less violence. the wars in afghanistan and iraq costed somewhere between 125.000 up to over a million lives wich isnt comparable to the 3000 deaths in 9/11 at all.

now, why am i telling you all this? because i want to show that nationalism or patriotism cause wars and need to be stopped, the war between croatia and serbia werent excusively caused by nationalism but nationalism helped and if croatia (we'll hope that never happens) at some point has to fight another war against anyone, its highly possible that nationalism will play a big role.

Thats true, State of Croatia never attacked another state directly.

But Croatia was part of Hungary and later Austria-Hungary for 800 years (1102-1918) and as part of Hungary they invaded other countries and used violence. Croatia as part of Austria-Hungary participated in WW1 on wrong side.

Even with brief independence in 1941-1945 as Nazi Croatia in WW2, they didnt attack other countries (Croatian neighbors were fascist allies anyway), but it did use alot of violence against its population.

Yugoslav civil war was fought between rebels who attacked Yugoslav Army bases and took weapons and recieved also weapons from America and Europe, they attacked civilians and army of Yugoslavia, not Serbia. There wasnt Serbia in 1991, neither Croatia. Only anti-government rebels and UN-recognized communist country of Yugoslavia.

Those rebels won and created Republic of Croatia which was recognized by UN (first was Germany, coincidence? ) while Yugoslavia collapsed and other new states were created most of them that never existed before.

Croats fought its own citizens in Croatia, just they were another ethnic group. And there was no Serbian Army to invade Croatia because neither Serbia, neither Serbian Army nor Croatia existed to begin with.

People who fought in that civil war were from all parts of Yugoslavia, and they fought on sides of rebels and on side of government forces. Government forces were multiethnic while rebel forces were nationalistic single ethnic like Slovenian Teritorial Defence, Croatian Defence Council, Bosnian Republican Army and Kosovo Liberation Army and Serbian Bosnian Army.

Croats from Croatia were recruited for Yugoslav Army in the war, while other Croats volunteered for rebel militia. I even propose open borders to facilitate freedom of movement for which i recieved loads of insults from Tik Tok who is opposed to that because its ruining his 'pure' race and 'class struggle'.

Tito if you are gonna spread propaganda atleast get your facts straight,croatia was under austrian controll from 1527. not 1102.,in 1102. personall union between croatia and hungary was achived,the kingdom even had 2 seperate crowns,one hungarian and other croatian.
you say croatia and serbia never fought which is technically correct however when yugoslavia invaded croatia only serbia and MNE were still in it,croatia nover recived weapons from USA or EU (except from germany) infact they had emabargo on weapons inport for croatia and bosnia and it was strictly enforced,if there was not for the embargo war probably wouldnt have happned as if croatia and bosnia armed themselves serbs probably wouldnt have the balls to attack.
YPA (JNA) in 1991 was comprised of only serbs and montenegrins and it clearly wasnt fighting for yugo anymore since they were working together with chetniks.

i meant the war between the croatian population of jugoslavia and the serbian population of croatia, then it was pride in their peoples. pride in your people and pride in a nation is the same thing psychologycally anyways and often leads to wars and or genocides: example rwanda, they had one of the bloodiest civil wars of our recent history with 1 million deaths and no actual countries fighting a war.

however most part of the yugoslav army was serbian and most part of the croatian were croatian and bosnian. nowadays many croats gorify the war as them freeing themselfes from the serbs.
