There was a hug debate about this in 2015 where the admins set the standard that no map or scenario can be used without the creators consent.


Further more if they ever took the stance your implying I and many map makers would simply stop making maps, as at that point we have 0 incentive to do so, we are basically unpayed employees at that point.

There are legal ramifications to changing your tos without user consent, I rather not get into that, its redundant at this point like i said, Amok has expressly given the map creators the right to govern over there maps as they see fit. If a moderator ever took that stance again such as pulse did in 2015 id simply contact the administration again so said mod could learn there place.

If my or any other users maps were taken over by admin actions without consent I'd quit the game.

As said, the maps reside de facto at the hands of the creators, who take decisions regarding it and manage the maps, scens and its ramifications, and thus, they shouldn't be simply open to mod or admin incursions on what is regarded as a "right" inherent to mapmakers - I'm not contesting this, maps are owned by the creators, who should have the primary authority and say in their artwork.

However, according to the ToS article Sascha listed, it's not too taxative, which means it accepts both a mapmaking-authority oriented style, and an AtWar-authority style. This means under that ToS, we could perfectly have the admins and mods reinstate maps deleted/removed for matters of public interest, which in the case of WW2, seems to be the case - Basically, Admins should be able to reinstate maps based on reasons of superior interest, and even so, there should be polling on the playerbase and above all, consultations with the mapmakers and/or close collaborators.

Though, that is too dangerous to use, and it's hard to really assess what the public interest is on this, though not impossible.
