Sony vegas has lots of features and is used by most professionals, but its also very easy to use most of the features. It will cost you if you get it legally, but there is a way to get it free.

Vegas is alright, it's pretty buggy though and doesn't have nearly as many features as a more professional editor like Adobe Premiere.

Vegas pro is the best video editor around for making the core of videos but if you're looking for something more dynamic which you can add in effects and such then your best bet is After effects, When I was doing editing for other youtubers i typically built the solid core of the edit in vegas and then worked on the rest of it in after effects as well as some other programs like Cinema 4d and shit.
