Strategy specific units.

After reading another forum topic I got an idea, what if certain strategies unlocked certain rare units for purchase? For example Relentless attack unlocks heavy tanks, Blitzkrieg unlocks light tanks, sky menace unlocks fighters, Perfect defence unlocks AT infantry, etc. etc. Also, allowing map makers to assign certain units to certain strategies. I don't know how viable this is but it certainly gives more things to think about when choosing strategies and make the game more versatile.

I like you idea, but i think it should be customized if you want to use the setting or not. (forexample enabling extra cities, the host can decide wheter to disable or enable your idea)

I thought that was obvious but others might not, so thanks for noting that.

Out of curiosity, do you think the competitive meta will expand to include it?

I don't, that is why I suggested the opinion to turn it off and on.

Yea itd be a way of adding new life to the strats. It is something like this that we will need to do in order to evolve the current meta. First though i want to see if we actually get an active programmer that can do this kindve thing.

I have attempted a crude version of that with my various world map clones that include additional units - in some cases, the units are specifically designed to work with/complement the strats without destroying the balance between them (hopefully!).

I would welcome this change - very cool!
