A fix to the low rank Elo Alts

Many people see that elo has been a huge problem the past few months, whether it has been gambling, farming, using alts, using other players accounts and so on.
I have an idea that might fix the problem with alts being placed in the "seasonal elo" list. Considering a lot of players are furious about having low ranks as alts and farming elo.
Remove low ranks from the seasonal elo bracket all together. Other games for example like League of Legends does this exact system to prevent farming of elo.
Players should have to be at least rank 8 or higher in order to duel. This would pretty much make alt's useless for farming elo.
It's simple, once you are rank 8 you can duel, anytime below that you cannot, that means players would have to commit to the game in order to join the competitive scene. It makes sense since low ranks are not competitive and don't care about elo anyway, so no point in making an alternate account.
An idea to try to fix alt farming. And also fix farming low ranks.
AND BTW IF WE MADE 2 BRACKETS, 1 FOR LOW RANKS AND 1 FOR HIGH RANKS, WE ALL KNOW THAT PEOPLE WILL CREATE ALTS AND DOMINATE THE LOW RANK BRACKET SO THERE IS NO POINT.

The current cap is 512 as far as I understand, u can lower it to 252 that's fine with me... Today no one really gives a flying f.... about overall elo anyway, it s all about seasonnal, so if u indeed dont get any elo from 1K elo people starting from 1252 Elo seasonnal u indeed solveur elo farming issue That means however people with elo above 1250 seasonnal will of course refuse to duel late comers into the season, making it harder for these to get decent elo... today is already bad to lose 22+ elo to a guy having 1k seasonnal even though u know his real value is above 1.2... changing the formula will make it even worse This bring to the conclusion that a the same time as changing elo formula, rules should be clarified for the duel season,and elo limit should be implemented when u create duel (ranks don t mean shit) Cheers PS: Waffel just play, forums really arent ur thing

No... but let me ask you something first... why you proposing that 1000 gets 65 elo beating a 1700... when a motivation of a guy with 1520 to play a 1000 doesnt exist anymore?

yeah, high elo guys will stop farming low bobs. I think a frame from +-300 elo is enough.

half of it seems about right to me, today over 1250 it gets really hard to increase elo cause u lose a lot for losses Once again one issue with seasonnal is fairly inactive good players that have no Seasonnal or almost none, people competing for season willsimply refuse to duel them cause they cant get anything out of it a while back I proposed that Seasonnal elo calculation should be a mix of seasonnal and overall elo to soften the blow

your missing the main point....its about low ran alts farming low ranks. not about amounts of elo.... and activity with higher rankng dulers is in the slum anyways why would you think your idea will fix this? you think that high elos should only duel high elos?

While I can see your intentions with this (and partially support it) I think that you didn't took into account the current 512 ELO limit. To give an example of this, I currently earn +0 ELO from any player with 1238 or lower ELO, while still losing 25 to them. This alone is a discouragement as by dueling 1.2K elo players or lower I can only lose ELO, not win it.
