Lack of new scenarios

In the last 6 months (for real) there has been a lack of new scenarios (unless you include the endless clones and ripoffs).

Agreed.

Well, i think it's just due to the lack of new ideas.
it's all already been used...

And "fresh" ideas are actually not popular in the community )

There are plenty if good ideas, it's just that map making is too hard to make a decent map.

Hum, what about an forum where normal players can give ideas to some mapmakers?

Pen Island is a fantastic map.

6 months is too long, six months ago I was still here and I saw a lot of new maps being made. A few of them were very popular, new maps are made every day but there already are a lot of famous maps out there and people only play on those maps, I believe. I think that you guys are over-reacting, but even if you aren't, I don't think that this topic will increase the number of new scenarios being made. Uh, yeah. :3
However, it had been like this forever; new scenarios were always about WWII, WWI, UN, etcetera. You'd rarely see something original or a map that is different than the ones that are already made. So, I believe that it still is the same, but the problem might be that there are so many popular scenarios, that making a scenario similar to it would be pointless, as I said above.

I agree but it is more that people don't like the new ones. I have made many scenarios none of them are enjoyed bc the community likes UN/RP rich games with no real tactics required. I am working on a new scenario which my experts say will fail maybe it will work idk.

If someone makes a scenario, people don't even bother to take a look on it, because they love the old ones.

The average atwar player is an unintelligent creature of habit. They come home, launch their internet browser, go to atwar, sign in on their free account, get into the lobby and type into room chat "Someone host RP"
