It looks like Bluecher is going to run the 10/10 simulation.
Probably a good test would be to rerun my 2v1 - my results indicate that both the classic and >2d new model both do a poor job. Maybe I screwed up the test.
In any case, no buffs etc. attack neutral infantry with bombers, at exactly 2 bombers per infantry.
- Record defender 124 dice rolls.
- If the defender rolls a critical, just subtract 6 from the damage roll to get the underlying normal damage roll.
I set settings > my settings > battle speed > very slow to record these on paper, then type the results into a spreadsheet.
You can save yourself some time by not bothering to record the number of times 1 was rolled etc, just run the test and sum up all 124 rolls.

Id like to help here but today I have stuff to do
I will do it tomorrow or so if bluecher doesn't. I will also make a custom map to make these testings easier.

At this point it doesn't *seem* to be 'lesser of x dice' related.
Blue ran, and will rerun the experiment with units of 10/10, but his results don't seem to be consistent with any of our present findings.

I rarely do massive stacks at all. My strategy (with imp) is to match the enemy in a sector, then use extra troops to flank and eventualy force him to leave the area or be overrun. This is why my Turkey is quite powerful.
