Okay, so what i realized is that half of flame topic on off-topic is caused by Balkan people, while other half is asking for the flame war between the Balkan people with some 'innocent' questions.

i admit i tried to start flame wars few times, but this time i' m seriously asking

and then mods ban me fro starting flame wars.....

You see, under Tito Yugoslavia was a vastly more resourceful, free and economically stable nation than Albania which later during the cold war would go as far as to align with China, excluding them from Soviet economical aid(Which the Warsaw Pact nations recieved in large sums(NOTE: Yugoslavia at this time was not a part of the Warsaw Pact but did allow private enterprise in limited numbers which strengthened the economic base)). Therefore Albanians migrated to the region now known as Kosovo to improve their living standards, and because it was one of the closest regions to Albania. Meanwhile Serbs were also migrating to richer regions of Yugoslavia, therefore creating an artificial Albanian majority-inhabited region. When Yugoslavia fell apart and the Albanians no longer had any direct benefits in staying with the nation, also amidst Serbian political repression, they decided they would rather have their own nation in the region. Therefore an independence movement started that would culminate with the Kosovo war resulting in the de facto creation of Kosovo.

This is as far as I'm knowledgeable about the situation, and it may not be 100% factual. It's my take on the situation, and if you deem it infactual I would love to get elaborate critical comments as to further my own knowledge about Kosovo and its creation.

I kinda agree with steve, off topic on atwar is the worst place for questions such as these. Also i read some other comments too but ill ignore them all.

If you want story of kosovo, then youre looking on more than 1 story. There are many different stories about kosovo which i suggest you research yourself or ask somewhere else
