I'm curious how it works. The 3 militias fighting were part of defensive walls, two triangles protecting the two cities. Of course i didn't move them. How could they end up there?

When your opponent attack them he most likely lost and the wall broke and sometimes they end up inside a city that is rly close to them (usually the one u walled)

He had not attacked them in previous turn and had no units close to the 3 problematic militias, he only had the 50 inf prev. turn slighlty NE from where the battle is. No cities are involved here.

Ending previous turn i had the 2 triangles and the battle phase right after that looks like this. He couldn't even have reached the militia near Bangladesh's capital.
