I have already posted this in the Supporters Forums, but I figured I would see what the community thinks of this as well.

Hi guys,

I think its time supporters got similar recognition to the mods. You guys put in enough work, and I think it would be great if the community recognized you as people that are leaders in the community. I figured I'd toss this idea to you guys before I posted publicly and sent to the admins. Here's the idea:

I think mods shouldn't have blue shields

Most supporters don't even do shit. They should rather reserve that green shield for future ranks for example Premium+, Sr. Mod etc

You do not need authority or reconistion to help new players. There are plenty of players who were offered to join supporters team and passed just to avoid the toxicity and the companion of its members. We have already seen mods who take their authority and blue shields too far to serve their ego. And when supporters team mainly attracts people who join there because they want mod's selfish priviliges you would just create new group of desu desu bitches that would only get the community behaviour and culture even lower and create more drama over nothing.

Just another point to think about - In several other games I played mods and judges worked from anonymus accounts and the community did'nt know who are they and that worked just fine.

There is a number of supporters who don't do a lot yes i agree, though I think we should be looking into clearing out supporters who don't do anything.

Good point Roai, however I'd counter with that the role of supporter should only be awarded to members of the community who are genuinely supporting the community through any sort of means (see above). The point of giving recognition to players to help new players means that they are officially recognized by the game as new players best options to seek help from. I see no harm in this. I think you make a fair point about mods who have taken their ego too far, but on the other hand this is a little different animal as supporters don't have any actual in-game authority. Giving them a shield color would encourage more players to look to them for in-game help instead of us mods who already have a lot to do on a daily basis when we log in. Having members of the community to deal with answering questions would help the workload of the mod team drastically

Throw me a supporter position and I'll start organizing community events and training lobbies to get people into competitive.

No support. Supporters don't do shit. They have the same promotion system as moderators, they're all friends, community never picked them.

I used to think this way too Casper, and at times there are lulls when not much is done due to inactivity. However, if we look through what they do when certain players are active, I'd say its deserving.

Furthermore, this would rather encourage players to come to the supporters instead of supporters seeking out players. It's a "flag" of assistance if you will

I believe in giving people a chance. So I think if Garde is sincere, he should be promoted and be given the chance to be productive and helpful for the community. And I agree that some people need to be removed. I suggest to remove those who aren't active in the game and those who don't really do anything, and promote new people who are willing to put in an effort to help the game and it's community, in any possible way. The game needs them.
