Hello Afterwind I have an idea for a strategy called: Master of Disguise. - The user of this strategy has the ability to make a stack of units appear to be something else. For an example, a stack of 100 Infantry actually seems like 100 Tanks. Causing the opponent to make a misjudgment in there attack. - Attacking the stack reveals its true nature. - No other changes to stats except maybe it cost a bit extra for units. Just an idea that would be kinda neat to have in game.

This sounds like a genuinely interesting concept, but before it's even considered some negative stat changes are necessary. Without them the strat would be too strong. Some ideas- - Increase the cost of the units - Decrease ARB for tanks and infantry (opposite of LB kind of idea) - No stealth units allowed with the strat

Actually the strategy needs more boost: + Be Able to chose if the infantry looks like tank or no. For example what if i want to send 2 stack of fake tanks and 1 stack of real tanks? because if the enemy knows your strategy then you are screw. My Point of view of this strategy: - The ability to make a stack of units appear to be something else. - Attacking the stack reveals its true nature. - Increase the cost of land units. - Decrease ARB for tanks and infantry. - +1 attack to infantry. - +1 defense to tanks.

Wow, this would be an epic strategy to implement. Hard as hell to program, but awesome to play. Possible nerfs: -Nerf bombers badly, making infantry and tanks the basic units. -Nerf militia, as trying to disguise militia or disguise something as militia would be incredibly stupid (range). -Nerf range a little for tanks and/or infs. -Make all stealth units practically unusable, by increasing their cost by a lot. I think an ARB nerf wouldn't have a large enough effect, and increasing cost would be too drastic; the strat would become the next LB.

Here is my idea on it: Boosts: -50% chance tanks will be seen as infantry on opposing players' maps -50% chance infantry will be seen as tanks on opposing players' maps -+1 Attack for Infantry -+1 Defence for Tanks Drawbacks: -+50 cost to Marines -(-1) movement to Tanks and Infantry -(-1) ARB for all units Edit: If a unit is being shown as something else on an opponent's map, maybe it could be outlined in red on your map, so you are aware that it is disguised. (Or a dotted line like marines have.)

Apology accepted. Also, on a more serious note, the game has a single primary defensive unit(infantry) and a single primary offensive unit(tank). I am sorry that it is not realistic enough for you that a tank appears as an infantry and vice versa, but unless you want to make the strategy so infantry look like marines and vice versa(which would be OP) then there is no way around it. The strategy would add to the gameplay dramatically in a positive way I believe though. Now...if you don't have any constructive criticism and all you wish to do is make pointless sarcastic remarks, I suggest you remove yourself from the thread because there is no reason for you to post unless you have something constructive to say about the proposed strategy.

For starters, how does anything I say go against the mechanics of the game? Nothing I said went against that whatsoever. Also, what does real life have to do with a game? I play Afterwind for the gameplay. If I wanted real life, I would join the army.
I am totally against the idea of nukes being implemented into the game.
You made an incorrect assumption based off of no prior data. Basically, you just made an ass of yourself. I have no problem accepting the opinions of others, and I do frequently IF they provide a logical argument for their opinion rather than a back-handed, sarcastic remark.
A debate is between two people/parties who provide arguments over a subject while using information to back up their points. This was not a debate. This was one person attempting to exercise sarcasm to belittle other people's ideas because he does not agree with them, and when the other person fires back, he leaves because he cannot come up with a decent argument against it.

Seems to be a good idea. But how does it work when my units look like something else and the turn ends? Will there be another 50-50% that they will look the same? And how do i know what they look like to the opponent? I think its maybe also good that you can create a unit, that looks like, lets say 5tanks, but that has just 1 defence and 1 attack. Just to distract your enemy.

When you recruit your unit, there will be a 50% chance that the unit will look like the other type of unit. For instance, when I recruit a tank, there is a 50% chance that my tank will appear as an infantry unit to my enemies. If my tank does end up looking like an infantry unit, the effect is permanent until the unit dies or is detected since these units will be detectable much like stealth units are.
I was thinking that the units could either have a dotted line around them(much like Marines do) when your opponent is seeing them as something other than what they actually are.

Can my general look like tank with this strategy? xaxaxa anyway what is point if tanks look like inflantry,and inflantry like tanks? in gc strategy you must move tanks,inflantry together tanks have bad deffense i got confused after i readed this idea if spart use this strategy again me i will always atack inflantry (tanks will look like inflantry) xaxax sry guys i jokes little
