Promoting Atwar

Hi, I've talked with brianwl and he told me to post the idea here, so what I'm here proposing is the creation of a twitter account (unofficial) to promote atwar, on a daily/active basis, since official twitter is inactive thanks to whoever runs it...

Me and my other "colleague" Musclebeard would create the twitter account for promotion of the game, with HTML5 features, strats, and maybe youtube gameplays (?) in order to attract new people to this awesome strategy game we got.

I support this idea

Is it active? Because I never heard of it. We already have plans and a baseline ready to hit he follow button, we just need the Admin's and Mod's Blessin.

Anyway, I support I think YouTube gameplay videos are best. Just make sure to not do just Europe plus, showcase scenarios, ancients, maps, and yes, I think RP shud be shown as well

I also think that we need to put ads in other threads, websites, and other outlets. However, tbh I'd wait until html is fully released. It's an awk time to have a flurry of newcomers

I feel pointed too not because I am in SA (Cuz I am their most fresh member) but because I am admin on that page too.

Few words about page..
It has only 245 likes. Of those 245 likes, neither 15 are active ones. Much effort about posting there daily is useless. We tried it but nothing changed. Those 15 stayed active and in 6 months there are only 11 new likes.
As admins said, any kind of paying for promoting there, especially on that page is useless. It can bring some new likes, but there wont be some extra effect on the game.
But, we are still posting there from time to time even effect is equal 0.
If nothing we TRIED to help in promoting. Personally, I called you all several times to like / comment / share that page, nobody cared. Nothing was done, I was just throwing my words in wind.

So, since you allowed yourself to shit on SA members in public like this, let me ask you what have you done for promoting AW on Facebook/Twitter/Yt?
Where have you been while we were TRYING to improve AW promotion?
Okay, maybe better to ask, where is your current wish to give some effort and time in promotion? Where are your promotion ideas and even a trail of them?
I am taking responsibility and I will ensure an award for you if you give an idea for improving quantity of AW players by promotion and finalize it.

At this moment, I see you have risen only the quantity of shit your ass can produce here in forums but I cannot give you an award for that..

Croat we all appreciate the effort you and others put onto that page. Let's not make this a flame war but rather just let it go ok? If he wants to make his own stab let him. No need to create argument. I'm always eager to see fresh starts to old promotion projects

Just fyi, but take a look at the bigger gamesites like WoW or LoL or CS etc. Are they all promoted by the players of it? no, most of those games are promoted by the creator of it, players off a game can only do so much and no more, I appreciate the things you try, but as you said above, almost no improvement has been made. and every once in the 5 months a thread like this has been made, only person I know of who actually was active on those support transforms was elcreyent (which I was aware of), you or other ones who never made posts about the twitter or fb or w/e it was I didn't know or didn't think of. Alot of threads has been made by several players with great ideas to promote this game but amok and ivan just commented with we cant do that, because money sources etc etc. Sometimes the money wasn't the problem, sometimes they rsponsed with, it has no point.

Now you really need to stop being insulted everytime I say something about something you some kind of part in.

As for my earlier comment, it was mainly towards the people who overreacted in the other thread couple months ago where they were like, '' we already have something like this, so this thread is useless,''.

Sunday night me and Musclebeard will talk about the Twitter page creation and maybe begin the creation of the twitter page, even if the admins dont know about it (despite the fact deviL and brianwl know about this).
We are aiming like I said to create a twitter page to promote atwar, my friend Musclebeard has a past of online gaming communities which he lead so we will begin to implement there.

I'm aware there are youtube tutorials (made by Caulerpa I think) which we could post to help the newbies the basics, and show off some new maps (well made maps) of all types, from Ancient, to WW's to RP and GoT, (for the GoT entusiasts would be good to focus on these maps to draw people in the game, aka fanboys).

Incase this project "takes wings", we would like help from active supporters (Croat <3) to further give us tools to promote the twitter page.

When this project begins, I'll inform you all through global and wait for your support, to make this community thrive, especially after HTML5.

I mean, make an album of pictures showing how the game is like and put it on the usersub, even if it is downvoted it will get atleast 1000/2000 views and some people will be interested
