A years of service badge like the one on steam

we kinda have those already with the beta trooper trophies as well as html tester trophies

plus, since the game hasnt reached 10 years old, i dont think its worth it just yet

Tbh we should revamp how players pages look in general, but is there any way Trophies could be in their own tab in the user info instead of the current location? If I recall, the current trophy configuration is a remnant of the Afterwind Beta 0.5-0.9 era before said user tabs were introduced under the AtWar 1.0 update.On top of this; Perhaps we should consider making trophies slightly smaller and with better, different artworks not bound as a square upload? I'm sure our community could create some fantastic looking trophy renders.

I like this idea a lot. I've been in contact with admins about revamping the organization of how trophies are awarded (its super messy and hard to find specific trophies atm, its basically just one incredibly long list). I think i'll include maybe looking into revamping how they appear on players pages. Not sure how much attention itll get as the editor is in the process of being finalized, but it could be something they look at soon

Trophy for killing people in death duels

1 kill bronze
5 kills silver
10 kills gold

Trophy for not being tbed by grom

I've heard from some of you, and I think we got some cool ideas at the moment, I'll start working through these with Trystane (my designer) and I'll make a final proposition here soon!

Taking some past ideas, we could have trophies for:

- Years of "Service" or Account Age Trophies - 1/2/3/4/5/6 years of service
- Maps with x k's plays/Scenarios
- Forum Games Trophies
- Clan Founder Trophies
- Mapmaking Trophies
- Designated Competition Trophies
- CW's played Trophies
- Duel's Played Trophies - Establish it by tiers: 100, 300, 500, etc.. etc..
- Facebook supporter/any other social media supporter of aw trophy - Basically have a trophy with those social media with AW logo on top
- Played Games

If a guy who played and won a thousand games, gets the same trophy as a guy who played and lost a thousand games... that trophy is worthless.

I dislike this. Trophies have been devalued enough already. Nobody gives a shit about them anymore and this just the last nail in the coffin. We axed the whole fun trophy thing a few years ago and agreed not to hand out trophies for troll tournaments. It seems all this was forgotten. Now its kindergarten and everyone gets trophies regardless of merit.

I dislike this. Trophies have been devalued enough already. Nobody gives a shit about them anymore and this just the last nail in the coffin. We axed the whole fun trophy thing a few years ago and agreed not to hand out trophies for troll tournaments. It seems all this was forgotten. Now its kindergarten and everyone gets trophies regardless of merit.

So I was thinking about adding in some more trophies that are high achievements on atwar such as winning 5000 games or participated in over 500 duels. The current trophies are primarily all custom from tournaments or simple ones. i feel like there should be more. of course this would have to be cleared with admins, but any thoughts?

I dislike all milestone trophies personally. 5k wins is ok i guess since its hard to hit. But i think you could discard all the others. Nobody cares about them and most people dont even realise they've hit the milestone that earns them.

yea i didnt realize some of mine either. however, the initiative in doing this was to generate the incentive to be mindful of trophies similar to how peoples awareness of steam achievements. obviously gimme trophies would be stupid, but actual hard to earn achievements that may take years of playing could encourage players to stick around for a bit, as well as encourage high ranks to have something to shoot for

1. Get every medal in game
2. 100 million sp
3. 1800 elo
4. Have a map with over 10,000 plays

Make some tropies for very specific things that player will have to do to gain it, like a ping pong tropy, winning-losing-winning-losing games (1 win 1 lose and so on) for 10 games (5 win and 5 lose)

Furthermore, I consider that NWE must be destroyed

yea we were thinking about those, some funky ones like that. The only thing is some of those achievements would encourage farming or "throwing" games to achieve medals. I want to make medals that will actually take time and effort to achieve

We are mainly taking the trophies we have now and going to the next level, for example 200 duels is nothing to actual duelers who duel everyday so why not a trophy that could encourage more games? I recently talked to a player who said he was just playing them for the trophy and i admit myself I only frequently dueler to get the trophy then i just went casual after that, same can be said about the CW one. Another thing is Sultan is going to be very vocal about how you can get these trophies as most players haven't the slightest clue how to get any trophies considering the only database is other players profiles if you aren't a mod and can't look through the list. I can see the concern with it but the fact is tournament's don't really drag the same attraction to the wider playerbase in this current generation and that's basically the only other form of trophies to get.

Some trophies are fake and gotten by connections, so no one care about them.
Duel season t. and some for big tournaments, maybe still worth something.
