Game Recordings

We need game recordings with unit movements displayed from both sides turn by turn - so that they can be saved like custom maps and watched by all (or saved privately).

This will - provide excellent education for new players.
Provide a feeling of accomplishment for experienced players when others rate their good recordings.
Increase desire to play your best - for it could be watched later.

Youtube videos only show one side, are very long compared to just going over the turn-by-turn battle phases.

This suggestion would need another supplementary update after it's implemented - the ability to see zig-zagged unit movements (not just the straight line effect), to get a better idea of what each player did. Color coding movement lines blue instead of white to signify a turnblock would also be helpful..

It would be a good Idea, maybe if you spectate to the end of the game you can watch a replay, because saving a recording of the game would be extremely complicated for the admins to implement, whereas a replay of the battle phases would be quite easy.

It would help for noobs like me to analyse games played by the best players, and the people on the ATN team to report on cws, tournament finals etc.

Sorry, I didn't realize how old these topics were. I have fraps but I need a better recording program.

How Mods haven't checked this..
