27.12.2015 - 17:22 Why not a chat where everyone can communicate with each other outside of atwar? if the servers go down you can still stay in contact with each other. On top of this, if you want to look for a CW you can ping a friend from another clan. But most importantly, its just a cool place to socialize outside of AtWar. For those of you who may not know, IRC stands for Internet Relay Chat. IRC clients are computer programs that a user can install on their system. These clients communicate with chat servers to transfer messages to other clients. IRC is mainly designed for group communication in discussion forums, called channels, but also allows one-on-one communication via private messages as well as chat and data transfer, including file sharing. Here is an SS of the client that I use (LimeChat; good for people on Mac) As you can see its simple, easy to use, and theres no lag, which is always nice! I thought this would be a cool idea to communicate with each other outside of AtWar. If you are interested follow the steps below! First, you gotta download a client. There are many of them out there, but the one that I'd recommend for most is Nettalk which you can download here! Just download the first one Once downloaded, theres just a few quick steps you gotta take just to make sure you get connected correctly. First, we gotta get connected to a server In the top left, there should be a button called "Properties" Next, make sure your screen looks like the picture below.. make sure you put "irc.rizon.net" for the server name and if the server port is not numbered 6667, just type that in (It should be set that way already). After hitting next, the only thing you will need to do is put in a nickname for yourself. After this, you won't need to do anything in the next box either. Now, you just gotta join our channel, so just type in /join #atwarchat and.. your set!! Once you join the channel, last step you gotta take is to register your nickname so no one steals it from you, or you get randomly kicked. just type /ns register password email once registered, just type /ns id password Once you join, either Tact or I will fill you in on things you need to know about how to use the chat, but those are just bells and whistles that aren't nessecary. Enjoy!

There is a very big difference between entering to an URL, introducing a name, then type #atwarchat ... and downloading, configuring(entering ip etc etc) , registering, etc... the IRC channel.
