I've made some scenarios for duels outside of Europe. There's an Americas, Middle East and Africa duel map. Search for DUEL in scenarios and it should come up. Duel - Africa has 300% boosted incomes for all nations except S. Africa which has 250%. The starting income are unchangable from 5k so you can't pick Egypt, Nigeria or South Africa to keep it a bit interesting. If people really want this removed I will. Duel - Americas has North America entirely unchanged. South America is balanced to match North Americas income. Central america has very little boosted income because it will mostly be the battleground. There's plenty of income, it will mostly be fighting over the areas between Mexico and Columbia to win reinforcements. Duel - Middle East is balanced around Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Pakistan having similar incomes. All other nations have between 200% and 300% boosted incomes dependent on poverty and strategical importance. The size of the map gives it a Europe feel but without the East vs. West imbalance (although I don't think I can make central asia viable for anything other than income). I may as well plug my Balanced scenarios whilst I'm here (Search for Balanced to find them). Balanced Eurasia + AUS is the World map but without the Americas or Eurasia + Africa map with Australasia included. Incomes are balanced to create more centres of power. Southern Africa, Northern Africa, Middle East, Russia, Australasia are all as viable as Europe or East Asia. (The result of this balance is that equally skilled players cannot kill each other so it's up to the players individual ability to win). Balanced World is much the same as above but with Americas balanced as well.

Central America is the basic fighting ground but you can always expand faster in the north than in the south due to city ranges, but even income is good. (In a Normal 1v1 with equal incomes the 1st player vs player battles are mostly just south of Central America.)
