Too many posts are being made about supposed moderator abuse / over reaching / over reacting. We don't get paid for this, we aren't perfect, and we (at least I) won't keep tolerating the abuse those select 5-6 trolls keep putting on us! We don't make posts about you guys (and if we did, you probably wouldn't have such large mouths), so please don't make them about us. You don't accomplish anything by creating a hate group against certain players, I could understand if you are trying to target an underlying problem, but those threads are never intended for that or turn into a flame war quickly. If you have a problem with one of us, tell someone who can actually do something about it. The 10-time banned troll isn't going to demote us. We don't want unchecked power, we have asked for someone to step up and fill in the role Sun Tsu had, but we haven't gotten a response about it. We can moderate the game without playing it, it doesn't make sense that we somehow forget to moderate if we don't play? Those moderators know what they can / cannot speak on / act on in whatever situations you are targeting there. And if they don't, they ask another mod. No, we don't have set punishments for everything, some mods are more strict than others. That doesn't mean the moderator is wrong necessarily (although some punishments are too harsh), but it does make you wrong if you continue to break those rules and expect there not to be harsher punishments. If you get muted 30 times and get mad that you just got muted for 3 months saying something innocuous like "hi" in global, you are expecting us to not do our roles properly. Imagine if everyone just posted 1 random thing in global/help, we are trying to prevent the creation and spreading of trolls by holding you to a higher standard. With this clarification, I ask sternly but politely that all posts about moderators be directed towards Admins through PMs. To other mods, please feel free to add on to anything i missed or spoke incorrectly on. ~Sid
